15.8 - short throw shifter

That's it. I was a little disapointed that my Z/24 could put out 15.6 and I couldn't with my new Ecotec. Had higher expectation, but still, like this motor over the old one.

Well here it is guys and gals, my first time ever on the track with any car. I guess I have alot of practicing to do, and of course I didn't like the traction at Jax Raceways (Jacksonville, Florida) It is a 1/8 mile track that needs to be cleaned and repaved.

Bone stock 2003 Cav LS Sport Coupe with newbie driver (myself)

Reaction 1.304
ET @ 594 Ft 10.117
1/8 ET 10.836
1/8 MPH 62.57 MPH

Any advice?? I know my reaction time sucked, I spent most of the time spinning my tires trying to look cute racing my friend in his 4-door (5-spd R/T) converted Neon. We both are new to 5spds and racetracks.
His reaction was 1.542, 330ft 7.754, 594ft 10.942, 1/8 11.671 @ 61.73MPH

How does the RK intake fit? Any fabrication needed?
I asked on JBO B4, and I all I got was the "do a search number", but I want to know from someone who has done it themselves, and I guess I'm just assuming you did. I've read around on it, and some hit the hood, have no mount points, etc.

it fits really nice , the AEM cai fits nicely too but takes more time to install

I have a weapon r and its close to the hood, but its in there. I also have a ram air kit with the heat sheild over the filter so its tight i had to cut the pipe a little and i think i am goin to cut a little more off because the hose is like half kinked between the sheild and the fender.
