i have a 2002 cavalier automatic with the ecotec vin code f engine. i was wondering if the 2005 cobalt ecotec 2.2 will bolt up and work with my trans and electronics??
search around on j-body.org, i know this topic has been covered a dozen times over.
no it is not a direct swap. u'll have to swap ecu at the minimum. not sure of what else needs to be done.
The trans will work, but the electronics wont. You would have to rewire the whole cavalier with the Cobalt's wiring harnesses.
