hi guys, 2004 Chev Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec - my coolant drain plug only turns 1/4 turn (and no more) and no coolant comes out ...what am i doing wrong?
Chances are you haven't opened it all the way, or you have no coolant left. I didn't know there was a drain on our rads.
ahhhh ...what do you mean there is no drain plug on the radiator ...what am i trying to unscrew? ...the bottom-corner - front of the radiator - driver's side - there is a plastic screw that uses a 1/4" ratchet to turn ...isn't this the drain plug?
I'll have to check my car and get back to you. Im not saying there isnt one, i just didnt know there was one.
they stick some times or it is clogged, be care full alot of them brake the end tank, if you look at it from the side you can see where it should move, but it is not to turn much. just don't force will brake!
you have to turn it 1/4 turn and pull it out, coolant will be a flowin.
