Hey Guys,
I have been trying to find answers through Google but can't seem to get anywhere so maybe you can help.
I'm wondering how easy it would be to take the stock turbo system off of the 2008 cobalt and install it onto my 2003 cavalier? I'm a little new to the turbo game so my knowledge is limited however at a quick glance, their both ecotec engines and the 260 hp produced by the turbo ecotec cobalt is quite impressive compared to the 140 hp of the ecotec cavalier. I guess my question is, would these parts bolt right on? This seems like a relatively cheap (and maybe more reliable since they are GM parts) way of installing a turbo set up.
Thanks for any help.
It would be a bolt up system. However you would need tuning. The fuel system from the LNF however would not be bolt on and I would recommend keeping the stock fuel system. EFI is somewhat easier than direct injection. You may also want to think internals. While it is possible to bolt it up and go with the turbo. The internals arent forged so there could be potential problems.
There could also be some clearance issues with the firewall or other ancillary items.
Direct bolt up, just need hp tuners to tune it.
