I was looking on allecotec.com and I plan on ordering some stuff from them. Whats a wideband kit? i'm only 17 so i have little experiance, and please no comment slike your just a kid don't wory about it. any info would be great.

It measures your air/fuel ratio. It is a important thing to have on a modified engine.
There are also "narrowband" gauges and they are cheaper, but they do not accurately measure the air/fuel ratio(they are mainly a lightshow). Widebands have a wider measuring range than narrowbands and are ALOT more accurate.

No, but the good ones allow you to datalog to help with tuning.

The wideband itself doesnt add performance, but it is required for tuning with a program like HPTuners.

Correct, you cannot get tuned without knowing what your air/fuel ratio is.

wow... that just set me back alittle bit... soo wideband is better than narrow band right? will narrow band be ok for tunning?? and would a shop that tunes cars all the time have one of those to hook up to my car and check what my air to fuel is??
