I just installed a pacesetter on the Cavy. I am very very happy with it. It gives my exhaust a deeper tone, the car has a bit more noticable "snap" to it! Just be careful not to snap off the header studs, or you'll get one hell of an exhaust leak. Installation is pretty easy, if you have all the right tools and a lift. A few negatives: space is limited behind the engine(have patience trying to get it into place), and the O2 sensor is on the bottom-not on the side like the stock manifold. Like any automotive project, patience is key. But it's all worth it in the end. I just figured out what those teeth on the axle shaft are for. I was looking around when it was on the lift....the wheelspeed sensors, DUH!
Do you have an automatic or manual?
Thanks for posting this, kinda makes my decision go ahead and buy one easier. Anyone else install one of these?
i wnat to install one. do you really need a engine lift?

no, but a set of car ramps and or a large jack and jack stands will do nicely
Is it a 4:1 header?
Do you notice the gains more on the high end?
Did you lose any low end or mids?

2003 cavalier red, k&n cold air, pacesetter header and cat back exhaust.
y do u need a lift and all that. Did u need to lift the motor or was that just to get the car off the ground?
i got a 2003 saturn vue and i want a pacesetter 4-2-1 street header soooo bad!!! lol! my vue has a 2.2 and i wanna know if the pacesetter 2.2 header is compatable with the 2.2 in my vue. any ideas?
Pacesetter doesn't have a 4-2-1, just the 4-1 header. it should be compatible, but will it clear the firewall is the question. E-mail them to find out.
You have made a great decision install a
pacesetter headers in your car. I also have mine it really satisfies my ears.
Can you post some images of your pacesetter headers? I am a bit excited to see how it looks.
