Official numbers and prices not shown.
Lates wait for it.
Man I can't wait for this, good way to get some boost until my warranty is up but then its nitrous and turbo, but for now a supercharger will do.................Hopefully GM underrates this thing, and its not too expensive, cross your fingers folks!!!
nice, a factory supercharger kit. Hopefully it works with the ION as well.
sweet.
If I ever get this I'm gonna try and rig it up to my AEM CAI
I wonder if we'll get an water-intercooler option as well?

So my plans have almost stop for the performance modding this year. ill wait next year ill finnish my exhaust line. Since I have a Cat-back from MagnaFlow. Ill add 2.25 of piping and a high flow cat. Maybe Headers i dont know yet though.
Someone has news about the S/C from GM ?
I think the general consensus is that it will not be released until after the cobalt ss's are on sale. GM wont want to hurt the ss sales. I really want it but im losing hope.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNN??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cobalt is a 2.0 ecotec won't work on the 2.2.

you sure about that? the 2.0L s/c engine is a shorter stroke, forged internal version of the 2.2l ecotec think how the 327ci V8 compares to the 350ci. the s/c should bolt up with no/little modification. the hardest part would be the electronics. reflash/piggyback/eic/etc.
I was always under the impression that the 2.0 is the same as the 2.2 but built up to handle more power? I could be wrong.
Quote: no ofence man but if you have so much experience in all that why does your car look like crap?
all i know is that the part # on the heads is different and i have looked at both of them and the casting looks slighty different also. gm is supposed to be releasing a supercharger for the 2.2 in the spring.
My question is how is the electronic control managed? You'd need something that sends the signal from the pedal to the ECU and then to the electronic TB, i guess you'd also need a new ECU.
I don't think this is a straight bolt on as some say it is.
If it was I'd simply collect all the neccesary pn's and head down to the dealer, who wouldn't?
That link took me to a page written by a moron. they are calling a vert a roadster. Even a "true roadster". A roadster is defined by not having a top of any kind, and typically no windows in the doors. They can call it a roadster if they want, but calling it a "true roadster" , which it is definitely not, is pretty ghey.
Oops, my bad. "Pure roadster" same thing, still retarded. I'm refering to the solstice convertible pictured on that page.
Get over it...
Read, then process the info, think logically, than if you don't have a headache afterwards, post your response
i was told spring of 06 by a guy @ GM performance... im not going to hold my breath, probably gonna go with a hans stage 2
We Rock Bone Stock... For Now
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but the GM Performance Build book I downloaded says there is a bolt on kit now that fits my Sunfire and the Cavaliers as per this quoth-->
"GM Performance Parts has developed a bolt-on
supercharger kit (part number 1780003) for the 2.2L
ECOTEC engine. Fits 2003-2005 model year Cavalier and
Sunfire. Also fits certain 2002 Cavalier and Sunfire equipped
with Delphi fuel inejectors. This kit contains all the
components necessary for installation. (Fig. 6)"
It's on page 26 of the manual, (160 total).
I am saving up for mine. Should be fun.
damn @!#$ the 02 guys again..
how do we know what injectors we have without taking em out..... i sware if i don thave the right ones i will be pissed... i have waited and waited for this kit...
if anyone knows how to do this please let me know... or if you know what month or what ever they switched over to the delphi ones..
Would this be a better option than a Head with Cams and Turbo?
somebody has a converter for using the newer injectors on the 02 head. when I figure out where I saw it I will post back. brains fried from work. I'll look for that post i saw soon. c ya
that would be cool if you could do that for me....
