Do you really notice any performance increase with cams? I was thinking about going comp cams stage 1 for the ecotec and getting them off of smg probably around christmas, but i want to make sure that i will notice the performance increase? How do cams help the engine perform better?

Yes, you will. Camshafts are a very important part in how much air your engine intakes (and the balance of valve overlap and how much exhaust is being pushed out).
But I would suggest having some type of fuel management along with it and a wideband.

What types of fuel management are you talking about, and what do you mean by a wide band?

Fuel Management is just that, it manages your fuel consumption for your engine.
A wideband is refering to a wideband unit that has a wideband O2 sensor. You put the O2 sensor in your exhaust system (around the same area as your stock O2 sensor...your b-pipe) and it can read your air to fuel ratio to a exact, so you know how rich or lean you are running.
FYI, your stock O2 sensor is a narrowband O2 sensor.

I think i'll be getting the HPTuners before i get the cams, is that a good idea on my part or should i get the cams then the hp tuners. Right now i only have an exhaust, maybe a header and some mounts. For the future i plan on cams, stage 2 turbo kit since it is intercooled as you recommended, and an intake. Also is there any way i can hurt the car by using hp tuners, like engine damage or will it just run rough until i fix it again with hp tuners?

If you're going to go forced induction, then focus all your money and attention/research on it. It's a big project. I also wouldn't touch your motor as well till you actually decide for sure you're going to go forced induction, the cams you get can help power wise with it, that's why I say that.

Last question about this topic, lol. I'm gonna save up and put all the time and money into the Hahn Stage 2 Turbo Kit, and i was wondering, do i need fuel mangement for that as well? Also, would the stage 2 hahn turbo kit on smg give me all of the parts and hardware that i need or is there something missing, it looks complete to me.

I was originally going to tell you that they give you a FMU for fuel tuning but use HP Tuners, that'd be a better idea.
But...
It won't fit on your vehicle because of your automatic transmission. The way they route the piping, your automatic is right there.
There are no kits on the market for you specific application (being that you have a automatic transmission).

I'm gonna be going super charged in the next couple of months, so i'll be getting the blower cams. The charger will get me to the point that i'm shooting for which is mid to high 14's maybe lower end 14's eventually.
