When you get bigger bored pistons than the stock bore, how much more work does this bring on and how much more modifications are necassary, or is it the same as the stock bore?

If I understand you correctly, and if memory serves, 'oversized' pistons are a mere skosh bigger than stock. Usually used to correct a major wear, or solve a severely scratched cylinder scenario. The cylinder bores are machined a few thousandths bigger, then honed smooth. Typically done off vehicle, but may be able to be done on-vehicle in certain applications. Sometimes limited by nearby coolant passages, or heat transfer issues, best to check with a machine shop to see if there are any no-nos with your block. Any way you put it, it's a big job
