Is it just me, or do others realize that the 2.2 seems to have different modes. When i first got my sunfire it had loads of torque and power, lately ive noticed it doesnt have the same kick. Couple of days ago, i had fast starts, LOTS more torque, especially when the auto shifts to 2nd. Its a 2.2 ecotec, 4 spd auto 2004 sunfire. I havent done any maintence between the 2 "modes" so im wondering if the PCM or whatever has performance/normal driving modes

ambiant air temp can play a big role in performance. a 10hp
loss in a 2.2 is more noticeable than in a 5.7
