i'm curious. i hear stuff about the 5 speeds being partially German engineered or something. how good are these transmissions?

I'm happy with mine. But its an 04
I've had my '04 since July last year, and man I love the tranny, I don't push it too hard though, just a littel fun on the weekends.
Didn't Getrag used to make the truck transmissions in the mid-90s Dodges that weren't very well loved? The ones that got replaced with the NVG4500?
So far so good... I've beat the hell outta my tranny since June of '03 and it still laughs at me!!
