Ecotec swap

Hey I been looking for a motor to swap into my 99 Z and I was looking for a quad but found a 2.2 eco at the yard it looks nice but it is automatic I have a manual. I was wondering how hard it would be to put it in my Z. I know I'll need the F23 and a manual ecu/pcm w/e you guys refer to them as. I was also wondering how long will the swap take and how much of the other car would I need. Thanks for the help this is my first time posting on here since the Adam told me about this site when it first got up, its looking good.

It's going to be a bit more difficult for you becuase the 95-99 J-bodies have a different electrical system than the 2000+ J-bodies do...so unfortunately, in order to get it to work properly, you have to swap that over as well.

It's not impossible, just alot more work involved.
