I GOT A 04 CAVI AND SO FAR I GOT K&N INTAKE , BORE TB, VENOM CHIP , DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS, MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST ANY IDEAS ON WHAT I NEED TO DO NEXT PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK

new cams would be my next move. where did you find that venom chip at?

pistons if your going turbo or na i dont know what your doing.

The VENOM "chip" is it the one that plugs into the IAT sensor? If so its nothing more then a 10k resistor that fools the ECU into "thinking" the incoming air is colder then it actualy is making the car dump in more fuel. To bad you didn't ask first this "chip" has been tested and dynoed and its been proved that it does absolutly nothing as far as giving more HP. Its a gimmick. Our cars have no chip that can be installed only thing you can do is use the HP tuner software to re-flash your ECU, other then that its just a waste of money. Sorry.

Anyway on to your question, Port match the head to the gaskets and the header flange to the gasket. Grab an under drive pully. And you didn't say weather or not you have a high flow cat so if not get one. And a lower mount too.

My mod list includes an INJEN intake, a Pacesetter ceramic coated header, high flow cat, dual Dynomax Turbo style mufflers, all 2 1/2 inch exhaust piping, port matched head to the gaskets, port matched header, a turn buckle for the lower mount, a B&M short shifter, and Tokico 10 way adjustable struts with Tein springs and other syspension stuff. My best run so far is 14.7 at 92 mph in a 1/4. Not bad for an N/A all motor Cavi. huh?

I think the chip help some but not the way i tout it will anyway idont have high flow cat i dont know witch one to get i don't want to get something that will trigger the o2 sensor am getting a a cam set from compcam and maybe some nos hopefully iget 14s

Jackalopes got money, and cheesecake is... well... a ricer! All those parts that Jackalopes got make a lot of sense but at a cost. But he is right. Invest in n/a parts like intake, headers, cams, etc. Also, lighten your car. Every 100 pounds means another 10th of a second. sometimes its all you need to be 14 seconds flat. First ask yourself if your gonna be happy in a year with your car before you throw money into it that you won't get back. Then if you want get some boost or No2.

Ok, its nitrous oxide, or more commonly called N2O. The Venom chip can be taken back. All is does is fool the ECU to change the fuel map into pumping more fuel. In turn, you will see a increase in speed and power for a SHORT peroid of time. After that, you will foul your O2 sensor.

Yes, I would def port match the head. I actually have a spare PP head here. I have gutted the living piss outta it. I was saving it for my new cams to get here. But I would be willing to part with it. Copper head gasket goes with, and you will have to get my header off me too, I have already matched it with the copper header gasket. Sorry, I know this isnt the classified section. Hit me up on AIM citifolk22.

KEEP STOCK PULLEYS. I have proven them to slow your times down by roughly .7tenths.

Sit down and ask yourself, do I want to boost my motor, or just make it snapier?

Jackalope, he has the right idea, but also, find a built trans before you blow the one you have. Especially if its auto the 4T45 cant handle all too much. Then build your suspension so you dont jack rabbit off the line.

You could spray it, but I would rather do a head port, then get a stronger valvetrain and finallly hit up the cams.

Then if you feel its worth ripping into the block, you can decide to go turbo or n/a. Turbo = low compression forged pistions, n/a = high compression forged pistons.

Oh yea, and take the caps off on the keyboard .


God made turbo lag so V8's can catch up!

He's not rich but he's responsible and makes concious decisions with his money as far as what parts he buys.

Lightening can only be done with so much removed...I'm sure he has a daily drive, not a full out race car. Removing your rear seats is one thing but completely stripping is another.

how does that make me a ricer i can spend 500 bucks and be in the 14's .....granted ive already done it but what does nitrous have to do with being a ricer....but he asked how to get into the 14's so i told him how he can do it

if i had an auto ecotec id go to the track with a nx wet kit purge window switch and race bracket racing think about it. just keep reaction time consistant and you will have no problem

i give jackalope his respect for being in the 14's

new lager cat- converter, and more fuel go with bigger injectors a mixure of air and fuel makes the more power

I got new cams supercharger and injectors from the 2.0 but i havent put them on yet the cams i got them from comp cam
