i was wondering what the difference was between the pacesetter black steel header and the ceramic coated one.....besides the obvious of course. is it worth the extra money to get the coated if im not building a show car?
its more of a heat reducer
I've got the Pacesetter header in black and that paint bunt off, so I had to repaint mine with 1200 F high-temperature paint. Ceramic coating shouldn't burn off. A friend of mine has got ceramic coated header and it only changed color (looks like burnt steel)
Don`t you guy`s get a slow read code, from one of the 02 sensor`s, with the header on? I heard this can happen cause the sensor can`t read the exhaust gasses fast enough.( with a header on)
My O2 sensor reads all that just fine. No problems so far.
Ceramic coated is the way to go so you don't have to worry about rust or re-painting.
