Just researching the new-to-me 2.4 ecotec in in my 2010 equinox. So far I've read about some clogged pcv pipes that caused positive pressure main seal blowouts. The car uses more oil than most, (I'm thinking blowby) but I keep an eye on it. I'm adding an oil catch can, and a oil filler cap from CFM Performance that has a valve to vent positive pressure, but not vaccum. The car has 100K on the clock, and runs great. It's been my personal experience that every engine has its characteristics, design quirks or flat out flaws, and many of these things can be addressed. Any obvious things that I'm missing? Any decent info (other than a haynes manual) that have been helpful?
