Long story short, wife 07 HHR ls 2.2l motor has taken a crap... so i need to replace the motor for some reason no one has any 2.2s but there is plenty of 2.4s to choose from. I know it doesnt have to come from HHR there are a few other cars out there that carry stock ecotecs. So i guess what Im asking is will the 2.4 do a direct bolt in and use same ecm and all harness? Thanks.
I've read that it doesn't... but don't hold me to that... I have a 2007 pontiac g5 2.2 that died.... I have a 2006 2.4 ss na cobalt engine... I've read that you can put the 2.2 cylinder head on the 2.4 using the 2.4 LE5 head gasket.... that's what I'm attempting to do now... I'm picking 2.4 engine up in the morning... I will keep you updated with pics
