Balance shafts

Has anyone ever canceled thier balancer shafts to get more H.P ? If so how did u keep the water pump chain without the shaft gears ?

Thats not quiet how it works. You can get a kit from GM or from http://www.levelzeromotorsports.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=50&osCsid=ca063fd09034199cf0ae7b4386e519dd

The shafts and the gears are 2 parts. You end up replacing the gears back into your engine
