No. not drugs, I just purchased a 2003 sunfire gt, manual trans. Do these tranny's come limited slip ? if not, does anyone know if kits are sold, or can the diff be welded ? (ice-racing puposes, no street use).
i know the cobalt f23 i do believe in the ss/sc has a 4.0 in it or somthing close to it they have the qaife lsd and phantom makes a carrier kit for the final drive

As far as I know only the higher performance models come lsd. But you can pick one up from allecotec.com or they have a few on ebay as well.
Cobalt sc has the f35 in it or something like that. not the f23. www.j-body.org you will find (through the search function) a company called team green. They make an insert for the f23 getrag which is what you have.
The J-bodys have the F-23 and the Cobalts have the F35.(F-23 is stronger). Quaife makes a LSD differential and OBX makes a crappy copy of the Quaife. Phantom Grip and Team Green both make LSD inserts. The main difference is that the TG uses stronger springs.
