sup guys i got a 06 balt with an aout tranny are they pretty strong trannys or wat cuz id like to kno if im wasting time on trying to add performance parts cuz i dont wanna be changing tranny after every week could get a lil exspensive
The 4T45E transmission is stout enough for most people who are aiming for performance and nothing out of control like. Only thing I'd do is get a transmission cooler if you're making a dramatic power change. Might also want to look into getting a torque converter made but I'd do more research on that department.
Do you have a 2.2 (L61) or 2.4 (LE5) motor?

It seems by the info on this site, the tranny is good for 325ft/lb, so I would think it would handle some decent performance going through it, although the 5spd on the other hand seems to be maxed out lready from factory on what it can handle, lucky for us auto guys I guess.
