i am installing or trying to install prothane front control arm bushings and am having trouble puttiong the larger one in. it dosnt want to go. any tricks or tools to help me out?
If you mean the rear bushings, then you may need to use a press, like a ball joint press.
MAY need a press? You WILL need a press. Those buggers are made to fit tighter than a virgin.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

i got it. those stock ones are tough to get out. and i used a table vice to press them in. made a jig so they could be pressed in the right way.
if your putting them in just use windex and they will go right in and no greasy mess.
you use the grease for a reason... it stops them from making noise. make sure you greased the hell out of them befor you put the control arm back in or it will make noise after a while
when your putting the larger one in remember to knock of the steel piece, if it still wont go in use a press and some screwdrivers to make it go in straight, 3 or 4 people for this helps, i just put mine in today
DO NOT forget the grease!!! they will wear out much quicker without the grease and like someone said before they will make noise if u put them in dry.
Just dont forget to put some grease so that the rust will gone
