A quick FYI on 05 Saturn ION struts should you need 'em or are looking into beefing 'em up.

Buzzzzzzzzz. Not gonna happen. There is no aftermarket replacement for the 05 ION. Not even a Monroe brand. They can only be purchased at the ION dealership. Check this part out, you must use your VIN number in order to get the correct struts for your vehicle. I verified this with my local dealer, Napa auto parts, Strauss auto parts, Car-Parts, Auto-zone and Saturn Motor sports. The techs at Saturn Motor sports advised me that the Monroe name brand or equivalent is not as good as you would have from your stock strut. So the best thing to do is stick with stock and when replacement is needed go to your local dealer with VIN number in hand. My Struts ran me $142.00 a piece.
