Ecotec 1.8L Z-Engine

Hi,

I would like to know more about the 1.8L ECOTEC z-engine for the Opel Zafira. Anyone can share detail info about it?

Some questions in mind,

1. It is a direct injection engine?
2. Does it has balancing shafts?
3. What auto transmission it use? ZF type?

I would like to have a detail drawing of the 1.8L ECOTEC engine if posible.

im not sure how many here will know alot about the euro motors

we all mostly know the US spec motors

Oh i c. Does that means the Euro and the US ECOTEC engines are totally different version?

Any forum for euro ECOTEC? I know it is from Opel germany, right?

Any info is appreciated.
