Front Grille
Saturday, September 04, 2004 12:11 PM
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question. I have an 05 sunfire but i dont really like the grey plastic grille, it would look better black or another grille altogether. Can someone tell me if there are any aftermarket grilles that look good or what to use to just paint the stock one black.

Thanks in Advance

I remember a post where these guys^^(tunerXtreme.com) talked about the grill

THAT SS grill is a prototype, and the dude said SS won't be making them bummer huh

he said how they did it though,
They used a grill, bent the sides screwed them in and used
MOTORCYCLE TURN SIGNALS
and mounted them behind the grill.
ingenius
I've been wanting to this for sometime
I really like the hidden turns man thats awesome

I'll try to find the post....

@ OveRshAdoW: I would suggest getting some masonry mesh from Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's, etc. For about $6.00 you get like 8 feet of it. It is very durable and it's galvanized so it won't rust. Below is a picture of what the masonry mesh looks like in the bumper openings on my '02 Sunfire GT.

i was thinking of doing the same thing to mine. i was gonna use the same stuff from the depot. but i was gonna cut the honey comb looking stuff out of the stock pieces and use the frame for the mesh. i was thinking about paintng it all black though. <br>

its nothing like my totaled XJ

Guys I had that same mesh on my other saturn. It was galvanized and everything. Looked good and was a cheap upgrade for my car, but this time around I am going to probably go with XXL mesh from customcargrills.com

They have mesh in small and larger size hole openings with different patterns to choose from too. I just got my crank pulley from him, and I can tell you that his service and products are of great quality. Check it out. Not as cheap as the home depot mesh but these grills are polished stainless, and they look awesome.
