Can anyone help me out? I'm lookin for a list of all cars that has had this engine... and if possible, year and model would be great... im tryin to build a list.

* Saturn ION
* Saturn L-Serie
* Saturn VUE
* 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt (140 hp/150 ft.lbf)
L42
The Ecotec 2.2, model L42 is the CNG version of the Ecotec 2.2. It delivers 129 hp (96 kW) and 129 ft.lbf (175 Nm).
LSJ
The LSJ is a de-stroked (to 86 mm) version of the Ecotec with a Roots-type supercharger and intercooler. It is rated at 200 hp and 149 ft.lbf, but dynomometer tests have shown 20% more power in actual cars.
This engine is used in:
* 2004 Saturn ION Red Line
* 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
LE5
The LE5 is a larger 2.5 L (2384 cc) version of the Ecotec. Both bore (88 mm)) and stroke (98 mm) are larger, and Variable Valve Timing Variable valve timing, or VVT, improves low-end torque. Both horsepower and torque will sit at 170.
The LE5 will be used in:

The le5 would be the 2.4L (prob. a typo) this engine will also be put in the solstice
The L61 which is whats in the first portion of the list, puts out 135-143hp, the LE5 is suppose to do about 200-205hp. The book for my 03 Cav suggests 140hp.
yea the Ions have the watered-down version of the L61
for better economy

Saab uses them too... come with turbo too i think
FEAR THE ION. WE ROCK.
No, really, the amazing fact is that all the platforms for the Ecotec are similar. Yes, the torque rating is a little lower, but it don't really make a difference.
Remember, the most important parts of a car are contained in the space between the driver's ears.
PS Ions don't rust. HAHA.

What about the Saab motors? Are they the same as or similar to the LSJ option? I have been told that the Saab trans will bolt up to the eco.

06 Ion 3 will have the 2.4 vvt ecotec. Ion 1 & 2 will stay with the 2.2. Ion redline has a 2.0SC ecotec. Which is the same as the Saab 9-3 but turboed instead of SC.
Soon there will be a Saturn Sky that will have 2.4 vvt ecotec.
don't forget the chevy hhr.
what about the other ecotecs? the 2.0 supercharged, the 2.4 vvt. even the 1.8 used in europe?
