Hey guys well let me first start off with what i have. I have a 98 sunfire and im doing a full 04 conversion. I just got the Ecotec motor and i dont know were to start. LOL. What else am i going to need i would like to do a couple performance mods before its installed but i am not looking to beat vets or anything like that maybe like 230hp thats it. I currently have an auto in my 98 and i want to switch to a stick but i font know what transmission to get i know there is 2 get rag transmission a m73 and a m86 and one is 400 and the other is 750 and that a big jump in price. I just need help on what other parts i am going to need besides the motor. I talked to a guy who is a GM tech and he said i shouldn't have to change the inside wiring but again I DONT KNOW @!#$ so please help guys.

if you want 230hp you will need boost. but i dont really understand tho why you would want to spend all the money making your 98 into an 04 and chnging the tranny into a manual when for less money you could probably buy a 5 speed 04 brand new. <br>

he's right dude you will need to get boost to make 230 horsepower. and dont' bother trying to switch engines just get a new 04 Cavy. It will be much cheaper and far much less labor for you to have to deal with

if you are going to do that then you need to rip everything apart.
the dash forward and prolly some more stuff too <br>
