I want to start building a new 2.0T for my 2003 Saab 9-3 ARC (210hp stock). It might include nitrous. Has anyone had any experience in this process. I pretty much want to build a "bullet proof" engine. Fortunately I work at an auto parts warehouse as a parts professional so parts prices will be way below most peoples cost. I have over 20 years experience but almost zero experience with turbos.
Thanks for your help!
Michael
"Not your average Saab story!"
Your going to want forged internals if your planning on going way above stock. Cometic head gasket possibly w/ported head. Now the Forged internals are a must if the car is already turbo it should have forged rods however they arent meant to stand up to anything major and the ported head is something that I would prefer if I was to build a motor. That and good set of Turbo cams possible a custom grind.
