how hard is it to swap a 2.2 l in a 97 cavalier with a 2.2 ecotec engine from a 2003?
It requires a complete donor car and you have to swap EVERYTHING over. If you ask "Do i swap this part?" the answer is yes.

Not Hard at all. the only things different are the tps, and maybe the alt conn

And the fact that the 2003+ Cavalier ecotec ecu needs to see a signal from the BCM which wasnt found in 99 or earlier models. That is the main reason for having to swap everything.

i just did this not to long ago a you will need to do the whole interior harness and fuel tank assy but it is all worth it in the end
Ok im thinking I of doing this swap into my 96 cavi I have the 2.2 non ecotec but im getting the 2.2 ecotec engine from the 06 cobalt what exactly do I neeed send me a list im trying to tear down this weekend
