Hello everyone, I am going to be purchasing an HHR and wanted to know if you have any input. I cannot afford the SS model and am looking for the most dependable set up. I dont care if it is automatic or stick. I am getting a used one and just want to know problem areas / specific things to look for. Also what is the better engine the 2.2 or 2.4? I plan on keeping this for a long time and am looking for long-term dependability and could care less about performance as this will be my daily. any feedback is appreciated. thanks!

the 2.2 ecotec is a very reliable engine. i don't know much about the 2.4 but eco's in general are pretty much tanks. they'll handle alot of abuse if you keep up with routine maintenance

The 2.4 is a much better choice. we run them @ full load, approx190 hp@6800 rpm for up to 30-40 min.when we racein mexico.
