i was wondering cause i was reading a post in here and they were talking about cvt and my aunt just bought a vue so can some one please explain <br>

I believe it's a variable gearing transmission.
CVT, Continuosly Variable Transmission
Used in numerous cars to better gas milage, they are usually not very strong and don't get production runs of more than 2 years. Nissan has a very nice one in Europe that is getting great reviews since it came out in '01 i think.
The Saturn Ion CVT, or VTi as it's "called" got cancelled after the the 03'-04 production. I'm pretty sure every one of them have had problems.

Yep lots of problems with the VTi transmissions. Even in the older Vues. And the cost to fix them is around $2500.
CVT is actually the type of fluid you put in to the VTi.
Constant Velocity Transmission. Maurano, by nissan has them in canada and the equal or that in Infinity
