I would like to know more about the 1.8L ECOTEC z-engine for the Opel Zafira. Anyone can share detail info about it?
Some questions in mind,
1. It is a direct injection engine?
2. Does it has balancing shafts?
3. What auto transmission it use? ZF type?
I would like to have a detail drawing of the 1.8L ECOTEC engine if posible.

1. No, port injection (multipoint, electronic throttle)
2. No, only the 2.2 does, the 1.8 was seen to be 'balanced enough'
3. No idea!
Havent been able to find a detailed break down of the engine as yet!
