My apologies if this is way out of place, but I searched the forums, and didn't find anything.

I was just curious if the 2.2L in my S10 is the same as all the others on here. Does it use the same ECU, or are the timings and things different? Do the majority of common add on parts fit the same (with the exception of space...I mean do they fit on the engine the same).

Obviously, most people with an S10 do an LS swap, which I will probably do in the long run, however for the time being I am enjoying the 20 mpg, but would like just a little umph for passing and hills...not even neccesarily the 250 of a GM supercharger.

Guess that will teach me to open the hood myself before asking questions, not just listening to a car salesman.
