I have a 2.2 Ecotec Sedan Alero 2004, The way the air filter is setup in a box it very very easy to setup and air intake. I bought an Air Intake from Auto Zone that was silver and hollow inside. The label read track use only, but anyways. I ran that directy from the stocked hose so that way i didnt have to get anything for the senor. I life the bottom part of the box still intact and too the top and the filter out. My RPM's used to stop at 4 and then change to second. Now it goes to 6 RPM's before changing to second gear on the transmisson. I have an automatic. The question i have is, is it ok if the car jerks a little between gears 1 and two. If put back the old filter then it does jerk at all. It seems like it gets to much air going threw it and it backs down before changing the gears each time. Just wanted to know what you people thought about it. And what do you think is the best way to run and Air Intake on a 2004. 2.2 Litter Alero.
