Has anyone purchased this book? Part number 88958646. I just bought it yesterday from GMPartsDepot.com. It was cheap - $13.00. Hopefully it will be what I'm expecting. I'll be using it on a 2004 Black 5 Speed Cavalier LS Sport.
Regards,
Aaron
I bought it. Wasn't what I was expecting. It's fine if you plan on building a full bore 1000HP Ecotec for racing but pretty skimpy on the details otherwise.
Yeah....I bought it too. It was more of a description of how they built the eco racers. The most useful info was the listing of dealers for high perfomance parts and a chart showing when different stock components failed at certain amounts of power. I thought it would be more of a handbook (i.e. an "owners manual" for the engine if you will.......) kind of disappointing unless you are going all out on the engine......
if you guys woulda went to the drag races GM was handing out those buy the thousands
and why not look through it before you buy it ???
Yeah, my cousin actually sent me one...
It is helpful in some respects if you want the cam gears or cam blanks... it gives you the part numbers...
It doesn't, by any chance, have the torque spec's for a rebuild does it?
Actually... it does have a lot of those specs to put the engine back together after a rebuild...
i got one free at the bash...cant beat that price
