I am installing a Cobalt LSJ into my 1971 TR6. This has been done already. Go to www. Bowtie6.com and scroll down for pictures. Very nice car. I am planning to remove the supercharger and switch to the turbo because the supercharger is tough to fit in the car.
That is a Solstice header in there that is ver close to fitting.
I am told that the 2003 + Saab 9-3 turbo exhaust manifold will fit the LSJ head. As I look at Saab turbo engines on Youtube it appears that the exhaust/intake are reversed. That is looking from the front of the engine (cam sprockets) the Saab exhaust is on the right side where on my engine it is on the left. Please explain.
I am using a Quad 4 Rod bellhousing to fit a T-5 world class behind the Ecotec.
This is enough for my 1st post.
I went to a bone yard today to look at a Saab turbo and the intake and exhaust are where they are supposed to be. Not sure what I was looking at on Youtube.
Hello Boys and Girls:
All done. The LSJ is installed with the supercharger and it is producing 218 hp to the rear wheels and 213 ftlbs of torque. I have the 4.08:1 Nissan LS Diff and the T-5 tranny with a 0.63 5th gear. The car weigs a bit over 2300 bls and goes like stink.
