Is it a must to get shock absorber struts when i get lowering springs, or can i just use the existing struts and throw the lowering springs on?

Alright i know its not safe, so scratch that question. I now would like to know what the best lowering springs would be for the 2003 chevy cavalier ls sport. I was thinking eibach, ksport or any other suggestions? I wanted to lower it 1.8" in the front and 2.3" in the rear. I'll be getting some koni yellow struts for the front and rear. I'd rather pay money then drive an unsafe car. Especially around here, a lot of bumps, might even have a busted stock strut. I notice a noise when i come to a complete stop, it doesnt do it while i brake but once i hit a stop it makes a jerking noise, could that be it?

If you want 1.7" in the front and 2.3" in the rear get the sportlines and go with either dpsec or koni yellows for struts/shocks.....
Also eibach pro kit and kyb agx are a great set-up for a good price.............1.4" drop front and back.........
I'm thinking of sportlines with koni yellow im gonna look a the dspec. Does it make any difference that the car will be drivin in snow?

Unless you have a kit you should be fine in the snow.........Put on some snows if you dont feel confident on all seasons..........
body kit? i wasnt sure if there was anything the snow and low temps could do to the shocks.

No nothing to worry about as far as temperatures go......
i got some eibach springs, 1.4 front and rear, i live in MI and during the winter its hard to drive anywhere with more than like 4 inches
if you go that low you might drag in the snow a bit. my car actually dropped 2.0 inches front an rear. just thought you would like to know
