Well I can answer your first question, and yes they work with auto trannys, if you look on the .org in the Photo & Media forum you'll find a topic made by myself. The title of the topic is "New Toy...."
Hope that helps, i'm not sure bout your second question though, sorry.
can you give me a link? i cant seem to find it. i sure did find a bunch of posts about people and their new toys though ha
do you have any idea of what ur cars specs are now? was it worth the cash? is it working well with ur auto tranny?
I havent been able to get to a dyno yet, the earliest i'll be able to is the end of May. In my opinion it was worth the cash because I get the warranty plus I get extra power without lag like a turbo. I autocross as well so that kinda helped when making a decision. By the time I spooled up I would have to slow down so turbo was out of the question. I'm not looking for high HP either. I'm just focusing on making a new intake and eventually getting a larger diameter exhaust system. Then comes rotors/pads and summer tires then i'll pretty much be finished modding my car.
And it seems to be working perfectly fine with my auto tranny.
In my opinion, the difference in HP numbers could be the intake maifold that includes the built in intercooler in the 1st link.
I have no idea why they would look different, unless one dealer has an updated photo, and one is an older pic of a standard supercharger. Just a guess.
I just had the supercharger installed on my 04' cavalier with 5 speed. I have a k&n filter and 21/4 dual magnaflow exhaust. running around 265 hp. plan to dyno shortly. It pulls real hard, i'm very happy with it.

I'm sure thats to the crank and not the wheels, you'll probably get around 200whp atleast.
