I am looking to drop in a 2.4 ecotec crate into my 03 Cavalier. Will the 2.4 fit all the 2.2 ecotec mounting brackets stock? On the frame and all? Or will I have to whip out the old plasma torch, I am hoping I can just drop it onto my already souped up 4T40E trans without any more mods. The reason I want to go with the 2.4 is the 2 cm more displacemnet I am aiming for 500 whp so it helps alot.
Never mind I just discovered that due to the VVT it's near impossible to drop in after market camshafts... Unfortunately there is no replacement for displacement I guess I am stuck with the 2.2 L
Not to mention you need to run a stand-a-lone, cuz the L61 and LE5 reluctor rings are different.
