Do these engines need a fuel filter? More precisly, does the 2004 Malibu w/ the 2.2L Eco have a fuel filter? I couldn't find one in the filter book so I asked at the parts store counter. They looked in the computer and no filter was listed for fuel.
If they don't have one, has anyone added a filter?
On the Grand Am, the filter is behind the gas tank and in front if the rear axle closer to the pass.side wheel..
Some Gm's are coming with the filter built in the tank now, im not sure about your but, its a thought
it should be in the same place as the grandam if i remember.... just losen up the bolts for the black box to move it out of the way
