Ecotec newbie here with a 2018 Buick TourX. We bought this car after years of leasing and I'm the resident mechanic. I've read a lot about carbon buildup. I want to design and install some sort of connection for doing regular carbon cleaning with one of the many products for sale out there. The only idea I have come up with is tapping into that main intake pipe between the intercooler and the intake. I have used Schrader valves with flanges and gaskets that seal in wheel rims. Why not install a Schrader or some other flanged port in that plastic tube?
Would that location be appropriate with regard to downstream sensors ect.? Also, if you screwed it up or it bacame a problem, you would be out only a plastic pipe (even tho it's prob not cheap).
Thanks in advance for any help, C.
