well did some drivn this weekend after i flashed my pcm with hp and now for some reason im getting a low coolant level....but theres plenty in there its an 05 sunfire 44k was wondering if its a sign of my water pump getting ready to go.....any help and insight will work thanks...

whack on the sensor in the coolant tank. the little float with the sensor on it gets stuck sometimes, also make sure its plugged in properly. This is of course assuming you are sure your coolant level is okay.

well i know its full for sure but if i shut the engine off and start back up imediatly itll be gone for a while but then 15-20 mins later itll be lit up dimley not full on red...the temp is always jumping around never to high but it usually sits aroun 185-190 degres....but it spikes in traffic... just wana protect my aluminum baby from overheating...

yeah, mine spikes in traffic too. Wonder if neone knows why?

i have the same problem with mine , i have an 2003 sunfire in traffic it starts going up , but if i turn the a/c on the temp goes down , i'm thinking that the a/c fan helps a bit too

yea i gotta 06 cobalt and i was driving alot today and on my way home my coolant temp went up to like 260 n i started drivin n it went down to like 230 n then i got home n it jus stayed high at idle...anyone know wut the problem could be???
