Solution for my headers?
Saturday, June 23, 2007 4:21 PM
Well i have the header.. just a problem with the bolts.. The bolts on the stock header flang are severely rusted and will not come off. I had a mechanic try to burn them off and got nothing. He doesnt recommend cutting because i could get an exhaust leak and warping? Anyone ever hear of such a thing? Any solutions? HELP ME I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE NEW HEADERS.

I dont think WD-40 will work. I' tried in onthe exhaust bolts and got no where, so these bolts are more than likely the same. Besides, they tried to burn them off and couldn't? Would fire out power WD-40?

your mechanic is obviously not that smart. Im a diesel mechanic and bolts are always fun.

Snap on / Mac tools / Sears. They all sell stud removers. And they work wonders. Give them a try, they always work for me when I get in a pickle.

Consider a new mechanic. IMO.
