I have just ordered the Weapon-R 4-2-1 Header for my 2004 Ecotec Sunfire.
Now, since I'm going for a deep tone, I'm thinking of ordeing a Magnaflow muffler to go with this.
Does anyone have any specific recommendations on Magnaflow's site? I'm fine with aluminum ones since they're cheaper, but is any particular model best for price/sound/performance ratio? I'd like a 1 in/1 out muffler, nothing fancy. There are several with different lengths, 14" and 18", i'm not sure what the difference is. Some have center/center in/outs, some are left/right - again, not sure what the difference is. Any suggestions for a deep toned muffler I'd be happy with?
Thanks!
Matt
Just go with Magnaflows full cat-back system and then get a Magnaflow Cat and theres your full exhaust done.
Thats just my suggestion though....
I'm going the cheaper route and having the rest done at a local shop.. So I'm just going to order the cat and muffler online. There are just so many mufflers on Magnaflow's site, and I don't know if they all sound different or fit different or what?
Also, why can't i find a resonator on the magnaflow site? People are always talking about how they have a magnaflow resonator, but I can't seem to find one, it's like they don't sell it!
I'll find a different forum.
ha -- i would suggest a magnaflow resonator and a cat --- i got mine from a whole seller in fla but they have them on ebay sometimes and there are some online stores that sell them pretty cheap
That.. wasn't my question.
My question was - amongst all the mufflers they sell at magnaflow's site, which one is optimal for sound/fitting to my 2004 Ecotec Sunfire?
Oval/Round
14"/18"
Aluminum/Stainless Steel
Etc.
Thanks.

Get the 18" oval Stainless or Aluminum would be the best. But also get a resonator or it could get kind of raspy- You don't have to get a Magnaflow Resonator- Grab one on ebay- Smaller = Louder
