i am sure its been asked dozens of times before, but, will a turbo saab manifold fit on a 2.2 ecotec's head? also, if it will, what turbos do the saabs use, what year of car can you get it out of, and is there alot of vacuum control junk on the stock saab turbo.
in short, is it possible to swap a saab turbo and manifold on a relatively stock 05 2.2?

There is a post on JBO about this, but yes there is a saab manifold that will hook up youll have to find that post tho to know for sure
Yes, it bolts straight on. However, the SAAB engine has a stronger head casting, low compression ratio, other pistons and stronger connecting rods.
need to drill and tap a 4th hole for the TB
ok, so it bolts on, but the saab engine is stronger. does anyone know how much boost the saab turbo puts out stock? is it over 6psi? if so i suppose i will have to go to a turbo shop and get a softer wastegate spring. thanks for the help guys, and please, expain why the exhaust manifold needs to have a 4th port tapped for the throttlebody....

JBO Post will cover what you didn't get here
ahhhh....i was talking about an exhaust manifold rather than the intake manifold
now the porting a hole in the TB makes sense.
