Do the upgraded ground wire systems really help with performance? Also if I get one for my car will i have to worry about voiding the warranty.

save your money, it will only give you better grounding, the gauge wire that is already there is quite adequate. i ran slightly larger wire all the way from the trunk to relocate the battery there. no problems with charging or starting at all.
