I want and know how you can tell if you have a getdrag transmission or an iszuzu. Please let me know. I want to buy a clutch and a fly wheel and I need to know.
first off, it's "getrag" or "isuzu".
second, to the best of my knowledge, by the time the ecotec got here GM was already using the getrag for two years already.
so if you have an ecotec powered car, which i'm assuming since this is an ecotec site/forum then you should have the getrag.
but just in case you don't, the getrag was used in the j's starting in 2000. the 95-99's were isuzu, and before that was muncie i think. (someone please fill in the previous years?)

Anyone know of a good performance clutch for the 2.2 Eco? I've heard that the centreforce kits are crap, that spec is a good buy, also bully or clutch masters, anyone have any of these installed in their car? Also will an older 2.2(getrag of course) clutch fit on an Eco or would you have to be engine specific in buying a part like this?
getrags have been used since y2k...
