Can I swap a 2000 2.2 for my 2002 Alero Ecotec?

HI folks.

I'm new here. My '02 Ecotec has an impending connecting rod failure. I need to swap engines and was offered the 2.2 from a 2000 Cavalier. Is this a compatible swap? Any input would be helpful.
