does anyone know when tuning will be available for the 2007 2.2l cobalt superchargers? and does anyone know who is working on one?
how can i find out who is working on it? and how do you know anyone is working on it?
You can use a piggyback.
If you're looking for HP Tuners...supposed to be this year.

thats good to hear about the HP Tuners
(im just wondering) how do you know though?
Go on www.hptuners.com
They've said it repeatedly that they are working on it.

thank you
what would you recommend doing to the engine so it could handle the pressure of a supercharger, or do you think it would be fine for a long time?

Should be fine as long as you tune correctly and monitor correctly.
Would also suggest you getting the aftercooler setup as well.

Is GM coming out with a kit for the 2.2 cobalt?? instead of buying the one for the cavy and rigging it to work

You can use a piggyback as a form of tuning
As far as HP Tuners, it WILL be coming out, just not yet.

ok cool
how hard is it to use a piggy back? i don't know anything about tuning. luckily one of my uncle's close friends knows a lot about tuning so i probably wont really have to worry about it anyway.
you've been very helpful NJHK btw, thanks

Piggybacks are very simple to use from the tuning side, just make sure you have access or have installed a Wideband O2 sensor to know what is truely going on.
If you go to www.aempower.com there should be diagrams of installing one (AEM now has a piggyback called the "Fuel / Ignition Controller").
You're welcome.

That's the kit you want.
The 2002 J-bodies with the ECOTECs had a different fuel rail than the 2003+, so they had different injectors. There were ways you could make it fit by using a spacer but that's another topic at hand, just explaining why there are 2 different kits.
Where are the options as far as spark plugs you're trying to get?

NGK makes a spark plug for the L61, contact them.

I'm not sure if those are the ones or not.
E-mail them and tell them you are looking for the colder plugs for a L61 (2.2 Liter) which is the same as a Cavaliers. They should be able to give you the part #.

lol, you're kinda telling me everything to buy and stuff but...
i was wondering what the best choice in exhaust would be to go with.
im thinking about the zzp. and what diameter?
(why does the site say it only fits cavaliers and sunfires? is it because they only have tuning available for them?)
Honestly, you don't need anything larger than a 2.5" exhaust system. Anything higher is just overkill and will start majorly messing with your powerband.
