I think it would work you would have to use aftermarket tunning
the only difference between any of the ecotec's is the stroke of the motor the bore size is the same. Everything should mount up but you are going to need a decent amount of parts and crap to do it. you can use the stock computer set up, just take it to a dealer to get the computer programmed.

The dealership has no flash for the 2.4L engine and the 2.4L's computer and 2.0L's computer are completely different and not capable of being flashed with each other.

i've seen it done before at our shop but i wasn't the one working on and i have no clue what they did or how they did it but i can sure find out on monday.

I guarantee you it wasn't a 2.4L SS
